A First John Reader

So far the book Exegetical Fallacies has been really good.  A must read for anyone wanting to preach, and already preaching.  I am also looking forward to reading Sidney Greidanus’ book Preaching Christ from the Old Testament: A Contemporary Hermeneutical Method. I have been looking forward to reading a book like this for some time now.  We are going through the different hermeneutical methods for preaching Christ from the OT in my OT I class.  So far it looks like this book should be pretty good.

If you have read any of these books I would like to hear what you have to say about them.

Preaching Christ from the Old Testament is wonderful. He has such a great way of pushing the reader to see how the passage is connected to the whole of Scripture.
