The Transforming Power of Feeling Mercy

Have you pondered recently…

1. How much you deserve God’s wrath.
2. How much you do not deserve God’s grace.
3. How free is the gift of Jesus and his mercy.

You have done nothing. You have have contributed zero. We are creatures who wholly deserve the wrath of God because of the thousands upon thousands of offenses made by us towards God. Yet while steeped in our rebel loving transgressions it is Jesus Christ the righteous who died for the unrighteous (I Peter 3:18, Romans 5:8, II Corinthians 5:21).

Friend, join me in my journey to grasp and be grasped by the power of feeling mercy and allowing it to rule my life for the glory of our living Savior Jesus Christ.

We do not deserve rescue.

“O Christian, know your condition – the misery and the mercy. And let the horror from which you have been rescued, and the mercy in which you live, and the price that Christ paid, make you humble and thankful and patient and kind and forgiving. You have never been treated by God worse than you deserve. And in Christ you are treated ten million times better. Feel this. Live this.” by John Piper
